The World of Jakkals Vibes™
"The music should not only be heard, it must be felt."
It started
with a lyric.
"Every lyric I write comes from somewhere real, something I've lived, felt, or couldn't shake. I don't want people to just hear the music. I want them to feel it."
In July 2024, a songwriter from Pretoria, South Africa released his first track. No fanfare. No industry backing. Just a song that was true.
The project was named after the jackal, an animal that survives on its instincts, moves at night, and refuses to be tamed. The name fit. Jakkals Vibes™ was built the same way: quietly, persistently, on its own terms.
Every lyric that followed was written by hand. From real emotion. From the experiences that don't fit neatly into a song but find their way in anyway. No ghostwriters. No AI words. Just a person at a desk, trying to say something true.
Three words.
Afrikaans music has always carried the weight of the land. Jakkals Vibes™ carries it forward.
Lyrics stripped of pretence. Words that come from real places, a late night, a heartbreak, a drive through the Highveld at 2am.
Every song is written personally. No topic chosen for commercial convenience. If it's in a Jakkals Vibes™ track, it was first felt.
A language that sounds like the earth it came from. Electronic production gives it new clothes, but the soul remains entirely South African.
The world
is listening.
In under two years, a project that started with a single track built something no one expected — a genuine movement in South African music.

The sound
comes alive.
Music is made to be heard, but it's made to be felt on a stage. Jakkals Vibes™ has featured multiple official live performers — Elster Pieterse was the first to carry the brand on stage. Raynhardt Helberg is the current active touring performer, bringing the Jakkals Vibes™ sound to life in front of a crowd with the full energy the songs were always written for.
From intimate club nights to festival stages, Jakkals Vibes™ is available for live events, festivals, private functions, and corporate bookings across South Africa.
The 2026 season is open. If you want a show that people remember, this is it.
