In July 2024, a new Afrikaans music project from South Africa released its first track. No fanfare. No industry backing. Just a song that was true.
The project was named after the jackal, an animal that survives on its instincts, moves at night, and refuses to be tamed. The name fit. Jakkals Vibes™ was built the same way: quietly, persistently, on its own terms.
Every lyric that followed was human-written. From real emotion. From experiences that don't fit neatly into a song but find their way in anyway. No ghostwriters. No AI words. Just honest songwriting, trying to say something true.
